Various Festival Celebrations and Guidelines
Published: September 06, 2024
We hope this message finds you well. We are writing to announce that many families in the community will be celebrating Vinayaka Chavithi, also known as Ganesh Chaturthi, from Friday, September 6th, to Saturday, September 14th, 2024. This festival is a time for gathering with family and friends, participating in religious rituals, and fostering a sense of community. It is an exciting opportunity to share cultural traditions and enrich the multicultural fabric of our community.
If you intend to celebrate, please review the event guidelines as listed below.
Important HOA and City Guidelines: Please adhere to the following guidelines when participating or hosting any event in the neighborhood.
1. Event Permits: If your celebration involves a gathering or event that might impact public spaces or streets, please ensure that you have applied for and received the necessary event permit from the City of Celina as required.
2. Noise Levels: While music and celebrations are a part of the tradition, please ensure that noise levels are kept within acceptable limits, particularly during evening hours.
3. Public Spaces: Owners hosting celebrations are 100% responsible for damage to common areas and neighboring lots caused during festival celebrations.
4. Safety Precautions: Please follow all safety guidelines, including those related to fire hazards and crowd management, to ensure a safe and enjoyable celebration. More safety guidelines can be found in your communities’ CCR documents.
5. Respect for Neighbors: Owners hosting/ coordinating celebrations must inform affected neighbors beforehand.
6. Please be considerate of neighbors who may not be participating in the festivities. Avoid blocking driveways and pathways to minimize disruptions for others.
7. Alcohol Consumption: Please be reminded that any distribution of alcohol at an event must be monitored by an off-duty police officer.
8. Parking and Traffic: Given the expected increase in visitors, please adhere to parking regulations. Use designated parking areas and avoid blocking fire lanes or private driveways.
A Note About City Involvement: Any requests for street parades and blockages must be submitted to the city of Celina. We are already working closely with the City of Celina to approve requests and coordinate ample police presence for everyone’s safety. They have generously offered police support, and we encourage them to join in the celebrations as well!
We are open to any suggestions that can help make this celebration a positive experience for everyone. Please feel free to contact us at Sutton Fields HOA, Homeowners Association, City of Celina, Texas, HOA, Contact Us under the “Contact Us” page.
